Restricted Use Cases
- Sending money to self (1st party payments): This is when the sender and the recipient are the same legal entity (for avoidance of doubt, this is inclusive of the ultimate sender and ultimate recipient/beneficiary). This applies across all payments programs for all payments.
- Senders that are not businesses (e.g. individuals): All senders of payments, across all payment programs, must be legally established businesses (for avoidance of doubt, this is inclusive of the ultimate sender).
- Purchases related to/for (not exhaustive):
- Cash disbursements
- Merchandise, services, and/or debt repayments
- Foreign currency, money orders, and/or traveler cheques
- Dating and escort services
- Gambling, betting, including lottery tickets, casino gaming chips, off-track betting, online gambling
- Bail and bond payments
- Debt collection agencies
- Goods/services infringing IP (e.g., pirated software)
- Cash-intensive businesses without oversight
- Deceptive or misleading financial or business services
- Products and services involving weapons, ammunition, explosives, radioactive/toxic materials, unregulated gambling/lotteries, unregistered charities, adult entertainment, etc.
- Pharmaceuticals (and associated goods/services)
