Going Live

Get ready to launch your payments program!

Going live with your Payments API program is guaranteed to be an exciting milestone for you and us! To get you there, we are ready to help every step of the way 💪

Before Payment API Integration

Before implementing, we recommend aligning on all key details of your Payments Program. This includes:

  • Having full alignment on the program you want to run, the allowed and restricted activities, and any major operational implications (e.g. account creation)
  • Signing a commercial agreement that also outlines operational and support expectations.
  • Aligning on an integration timeline with your product & engineering team as well as Reap's Implementation Team.

During Payment API Integration

As we approach the Payments API Implementation, the team will make sure to have key components ready, including:

  • Implementation owners and stakeholders on both teams
  • Shared document for any questions that arise
  • Kick-off scheduled to review implementation plan
  • Communication channels & live check-ins
  • A dedicated Reap Account Manager

A Reap Implementation Team will accompany you throughout the integration project, making sure that your team can integrate quickly and confidently.

Week of Launch

As the Payments API Integration wraps up, we will come up with a joint Launch Week Plan to minimize the risk of any issues. During that week, we will be in close communication to make sure we quickly address any issues that may come up.

We recommend launching at the beginning of the work week to avoid issues coming up going into a weekend. If there are timezone considerations, we recommend to coordinate joint availability times ahead of times for monitoring and issue resolution. With focused planning and clear owners on both sides, we will have a successful launch!

Recap: Launch Checklist

  • Established Slack channel(s) with Reap Team
  • Signed Terms & Conditions
  • Approved payments program (by Reap Compliance)
  • Signed commercial contract
  • Finished sandbox testing
  • Generated production API key
  • Setup webhook subscriptions
  • Finished production testing
  • Finished end-to-end funding testing
  • Established ongoing support triage process

We recognize that you may want to try out Reap's payment capabilities first before using up valuable engineering time, or you may have a high priority customer with urgent payment needs. In these situations, we are happy to work with you to leverage a Reap Direct account to run initial payments. While it involves manual payment creation through a dashboard interface, it is faster for urgent payments since it doesn't require an API integration.
